FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before Control

Before you bring your car in for a technical inspection.

Take care

1. Be clean, at least at the points where the vehicle's identity is checked. This means that the chassis number and engine number are clearly visible.

2. Have a fire extinguisher of an approved type and a complete medical kit

3. In case the vehicle is fitted with membranes on the glass panes, make sure you have the corresponding certificate from the installer of the membranes.

If the initial LPG control of the car was carried out no more than 6 months ago, then the certificate of good functioning is not required.

For public passenger vehicles (taxis):

in addition to the above, the following must be provided

1) A certificate from the SATA for the granting of the electronic badge. ATTENTION! these certificates are valid for 2 years from the day they were issued.

Audit Results

After the inspection is completed, the owner of the vehicle is informed of the results of the inspection. The information is written through the Technical Audit Report (DTE), but also verbally by the auditor who carried out the audit. Control is characterized by one of the following terms, with respect to its own..

SUCCESSFUL. No deficiencies were found during the inspection. The owner of the vehicle receives the DTE and the special sticker (Indicative Technical Inspection Mark) is affixed to the vehicle's license plate.

WITH SECONDARY DEFICIENCIES. Deficiencies were found during the inspection, which, however, are not critical for driving the vehicle, or in general, deficiencies were found which, according to current legislation, do not require safe repair. The owner of the vehicle must eliminate the minor deficiencies within two months from the inspection date and his vehicle will be inspected at the next periodic inspection.

Receives the DTE in which the secondary deficiencies are clearly stated and ESTE is affixed to the rear plate of the vehicle.

WITH SERIOUS LACKS. During the inspection of the vehicle, deficiencies were found which, while not prohibiting the continued driving of the vehicle, must be eliminated in a short period of time. The owner of the vehicle must submit for re-inspection strictly within 20 days, or within 30 days at the most if the technical director of KTEO assesses that the deficiency is such that it cannot be addressed within 20 days. The owner of the vehicle receives the DTE in which the serious deficiencies are clearly noted and in which the deadline for the next inspection is indicated. You are NOT affixed to the vehicle license plate.

WITH DANGEROUS DEFICIENCIES. If dangerous deficiencies are found in the car, then the vehicle is forbidden to move. The owner of the vehicle receives a DTE in which the deficiencies are clearly stated, but the next inspection is not specified. Since the vehicle is immobilized, it is entirely up to the owner when to eliminate the dangerous deficiencies.
